One Year Ago...

One year ago today I ran to the milk house and stood in the doorway with a Cheshire cat type smile on my face. I had this ----->
in my hand and I was just waiting for S to ask me what the smile was all about. I will never forget the look on his face when he asked me "really?"

It's hard to believe it's already been a year! Now I have this little snuggle-bug!

Day 10-Something you're afraid of

Hi my name is A, I'm 24 and I am afraid of the dark. There, I said it. Well I'm not so much afraid of the dark as what's in the dark. Ridiculous,yes. However it doesn't make my fear any smaller. I feel like a five year old sometimes who thinks there's a monster under the bed, but nonetheless I still keep my head down and walk quickly down the hallway at night when I go to nurse K. I am a big baby!

I'm also afraid of spiders, and most bugs in general. And rats, I HATE rats!

Day 9-A picture of your friends

I'm hesitant to do this. I don't feel comfortable posting pictures of them without their permission. You never know what kind of weirdos are out there on the interwebz and I don't want to violate their privacy if they would prefer not to have their pictures out there floating around in cyberspace.

Instead, I shall do this. These are my three closest and dearest friends!

Day 8-A place you've traveled to

My favorite place that I've traveled is the OuterBanks of North Carolina, specifically a little town called Avon. The first time I was there was when I was 4 years old and I've been there three other times since. My family would go with a few other families that were friends of ours, and there would be about 15 of us all together in a big rental house. We would spend about a week relaxing on the beaches and visiting the lighthouses, those were some of my favorite vacations. The beaches there are some of the cleanest and least crowded of any beach I've been to and I love that it's family oriented. I hope to be able to take K here someday, but that might be a battle since her daddy is NOT the beach going type of person!  

I found some of the old pictures from past trips to OBX to share with you all! Now when I say old, the first two are from 2003 when I was 17 and the last one is from the first trip we took when I was 4. If you don't hear from me for awhile it's because my mother killed me for posting that one ;)

Time for a post about K!

Miss K has been full of firsts this week!

1. She's discovered that she has a tongue and that she can make noises with it! 
2. She also grabs at things with accuracy now! She knows what she wants and she goes for it! 
3. Also just about every morning this week I have gone in to get her out of her crib and found her rolled over on her back (yes, she is a tummy sleeeper)! The little stinker that she is though, refuses to do it for us during the daytime!

It is so much fun watching her learn new things!

Day 6-A picture of something that makes you happy

I don't have to pick just one do I? There are lots of things that make me happy, so I will share more than one!

The two most important things that make me happy, my husband and my baby girl! <3 

Along with them my family and friends also make me happy!

Well here's another exhilarating post... I have none! I am a one and only child, just me! Yeah I was sorta spoiled! I know, big shocker there! ;)

Day 4-Your parents

• C is a 40 something (hehe she would kill me if I told you) operations manager at a credit union. Some of her hobbies are reading and watching NASCAR.

• Z is a 50 something truck driver. He hauls brine from the natural gas drilling sites and he seems to really like it, although mom doesn't love the laundry! In a past life he worked for 20+ years at a factory making paper.

And yeah, they pretty much rock! I adore them both and cannot tell you how much I love and appreciate them! My mom is by far one of my best friends and I never thought that was a sentence I would say! We have a great relationship that I adore! My dad is pretty darn awesome too! I'm having such a great time watching him be a grandfather, I think it suits him very, very well.
