Day 3-Your first love

Was in 8th grade. We dated for 6 months and he was a great boyfriend! Actually other than S he was the best boyfriend I've ever had! I was the stupid one who screwed it up....then again I was only 14. I still talk to him on FB now and then, he just had a baby too.

Day 2-Meaning behind your blog name

Well here's one heck of a boring post... it's our last name! TA-DA! Whew what a challenge, I didn't think I'd make it through that one. Well.... nite!

Day 1-Introduce, recent picture, 15 interesting facts

My name is A, I have a 3 month old baby girl and I'm married to the love of my life, S.


15 Interesting Facts... this should be fun..not!

1. I met my husband while I was in college. I lived with his sister! But it took us until 3 years later before we realized we had feelings for one another.
2. I have blue eyes. K does too and I so hope that she keeps them, her daddy however does not.
3. My daughters birth was a natural birth after 23 hours of back labor. I am very proud of that fact and feel I deserve a cookie ;)
4. We have 2 dogs and a cat (not to mention the 90+ herd of dairy cows). Sammie and Diesel are our dogs and Sadie is our cat.
5. S is a dairy farmer and his commitment to it even though it's by far one of the most difficult professions out there (IMO) makes me love him so much more. 
6. I work for a Feed Farm and Pet supply store. I love it. I have an amazing boss, great co-workers and they allow me to be a SAHM part of the year. Not many people can just stay at home the first 6 months of their daughters life. I am very lucky!
7. I am an only child
8. I have never been artistic, I can't draw or paint to save my life. But I can scrapbook like nobodies business!
9. I am an emotional train-wreck 6 days a week. I have been emotional all my life, not just sad or crying but all emotions. I feel very deeply.
10. As most of you know I belong to a board of mommies and there's been a lot of loss and sickness on our board lately. I have to confess that I can't open these posts. I get so depressed and upset for these women and families going through this that I don't even read them. Do I feel guilty-yes, do I feel that my self preservation is more important- yes. I still pray for them, but I cannot read their story.
11. I am an only child. Just me, that was all!
12. I want to teach K some sign language in a few months. We used it when I used to work in daycare and it was so cool to be able to communicate in a way with such a small child. 
13. I am 5'3" my husband is a full foot taller than me, we make an odd couple!
14. I have a sad addiction to facebook and to my mommies board, it's pathetic.
15. I had the opportunity to meet my great-great grandmother before she died. She was 101 when I met her and she passed away 3 years later. I will always cherish that. Not many people get that opportunity!

That my friends, that was stressful!

01/06/11 - K playing with her jumperoo!

01/07/11- Daddy takes K on her very first tractor ride. She enjoyed it so much that she fell asleep!

01/13/11- K turns 3 months old!

01/14/11- Mommy uses K's Christmas money from Great Grandma B to buy her a new play-mat. I think she likes it!

Must be her new toy tuckered her out, she fell asleep sitting up and chewing on my thumb!

Pediatric Cardiologist

K's appointment with the pediatric cardiologist was yesterday. He ran a quick EKG on her heart and said that he didn't see anything to be concerned about on that. He would however like another echo done because the person who did the first one wasn't experienced in doing babies and he would like someone who has more knowledge to do it. So we go for that next Tuesday. I just can't wait for all of this to be over. I want to know for sure and all I keep hearing is "it's most likely something she'll grow out of before her first birthday" but we want to run one more test and then another and another. I know they're trying to be through and I do appreciate that fact....but all of this is starting to wear on me. Just give us some answers please!!

Date Night...

I love my kid, but this is me! I would love some me/us time, but /i know when it comes down to it... I couldn't leave her! I'm just a giant contradiction lately!

2010 in pictures...

January 10 2010- We welcomed our new nephew, D into the world!

January 27, 2010 - Looks like we're next, we're 4 weeks along!

February 7, 2010 - S and I announce our baby to my family at breakfast and to his family later in the day at a Super Bowl Party. We wore shirts that said 10-10-10 (our due date), once people asked what it was about we showed them the back!

February 25, 2010 - We get our first look at our bebeh!

 

March 11, 2010 - We have to have an emergency ultrasound due to bleeding- turns out it's nothing.

May 15, 2010 - 18 weeks and 4 days preggo!

May 30, 2010 - My 24th birthday- 21 weeks and 1 day!

June 3, 2010- Anatomy scan day! We decided not to find out the sex of our baby, but were happy to hear that he or she was doing well!

June 14, 2010 - My mom painting the baby's nursery. The next day she and S both got to feel the baby move!

July 9-11 2010- S and I plus his brother and sister fly to Texas to stay with his aunt and uncle. We went to say our goodbyes to his grandmother as she was loosing her battle with lung cancer. She would pass away less then a month later on August 3rd.

There's no picture to post for this... however July 14, 2010 - S's dad announces to us as a family that he has esophageal cancer. Here we go again...

July 27, 2010 - aprox. 30 weeks pregnant!

August 15, 2010- My mom throws us our first baby shower! Grandma B predicts that it's a girl... we shall see!

September 5, 2010 - 35 weeks pregnant!

I'm not sure how there's no pictures of this... but September 7, 2010 - S turns 30!!!!!

September 19, 2010 - Aunt A throws us a beautiful baby shower, just as I tun 37 weeks pregnant!

October 13, 2010 - at 9:08pm, K is born! 4 days overdue and she's 8lbs 7oz, 21.5 inches long of beautiful baby!

October 29, 2010 - K has her first bath!

October 31, 2010 - K's first Halloween!

November 13, 2010 - Aunt K's baby shower and K turns 1 month old!

November 14, 2010 - We have our first family pictures taken for our Christmas cards!

November 25, 2010 - K's first Thanksgiving!

December 18, 2010 - K's first Christmas at Great Grandma W's

The year 2010 has been full of ups and downs for our family, and it's certainly been a wild ride! Here's to an even better and happier 2011! From our family to yours, Happy New Year!

Echo. Results

We got a call from the doctor this past Monday, and it turns out K has a hole in her heart. We have to go on January 11th to a specialist in New York to have another echo done and see what he has to say about it. They stressed again to us that it's usually nothing to worry about and that it will most likely close on its own. So that's where I'm keeping my frame of mind right now and hoping that it turns out to be no biggie. I've been praying over it, but haven't let myself get worked up about it... no sense in stressing until we know more.
